Fast cloud migration, and 6 more reasons to visit Velostrata at Cloud Expo Europe

By: Michele BorovacFebruary 6, 2017

Is your move to the public cloud going as smoothly as you’d like? If not, then you should come talk to Velostrata at Cloud Expo Europe on March 15th and 16th! We’ll be at stand 135 and eager to talk about your cloud journey. As if that wasn’t enough, here are six more reasons you should swing by and say hello while you’re at Cloud Expo Europe:

  1. You’ll get to meet our Architect-in-Chief, Ben Hagai, who is leading a session on Cloud Workload Mobility on March 15th:

What: How to Build an Extensible Data Center with Cloud Workload Mobility
Where: Infrastructure, Storage & Virtualisation Theatre
    When: March 15th, 2017, from 13:45 to 14:10

It’ll be a great session, so be sure to mark your agendas to attend!
  2. You need to move a lot of applications
Are you running into deadlines to decommission infrastructure in your datacenter or co-lo? Do you want to avoid another expensive year of VMware licenses? Velostrata’s WAN optimizations make it possible to move 88 VMs per hour using exceptionally modest bandwidth so you can get where you want to go in a hurry. Velostrata automatically adapts workloads for the cloud target on the fly, so you don’t need to modify to the images for AWS or Azure. Our patent-pending streaming technology ensures your apps are up and running in minutes. Data is moved over time while the apps run in the cloud, so there’s no complicated synchronization and cut-over.
  3. You need to migrate multi-tier applications
Velostrata’s runbook automation tool helps uncover dependencies and script migrations so that your VMs boot in proper order when you move them to the cloud.
  4. You want a hybrid cloud NOW
Velostrata makes it possible to move applications – especially those with a lot of associated data – to and from the cloud in minutes – so you can take advantage of the cloud’s near-endless capacity on demand and burst when you need it. Velostrata uniquely decouples compute from storage, and can move compute to the cloud on-demand and in real-time, while authoritative storage stays on-prem. Velostrata’s caching and optimizations ensure apps perform normally over the WAN.
  5. You want to test the cloud
Are you feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out which applications will work in the cloud, and which cloud provider and configurations might be the best fit? Velostrata can clone a copy of your application and have it running in the cloud in less time than it takes to brew a pot of coffee. Dynamically change instance sizes to test different configurations, or try it in a different cloud in minutes.
  6. You just want to hang out with the cool people of Velostrata
We’re representing (at least) three different countries in our booth, along with several of our partners like Sol-Tec and Kestrel and we’ll have some nifty giveaways, too. You can also pick up some tickets to join us for an exclusive cocktail party after the show.

Can’t wait until the show to learn more about Velostrata? Be sure to watch this 3-minute video for a quick intro on how we do cloud workload mobility or visit our website’s resources section for whitepapers, case studies, videos, and more. Plus, if you’d like to talk before the show or set up a meeting during the show, drop us a line. You can register here for your free show pass, compliments of Velostrata!
